Après l’opéra-rock « United States Of Eurasia » dévoilée aux quatre coins du monde dans une grande chasse au trésor, c’est le premier single officiel de « The Resistance » qui vient d’être dévoilé.
« Uprising » est le titre d’ouverture du prochain album de Muse. Le morceau sera diffusé dès le 8 août sur les radios britanniques avant d’être commercialisé le 7 septembre et interprété en live lors de la cérémonie 2009 des MTV Video Music Awards le 13 septembre prochain. Matthew Bellamy a déclaré que « Uprising » a été écrit comme un hymne aux footballeurs, que l’on chanterait en rythme avec les battements de tambour et les « Oi ! Oi ! Oi ! ». Il s’agit d’un titre à la sonorité heavy-rock et électro.
